COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Student Placements

We have a proud history of interaction with the wider Grahamstown and Anglican communities. Every Sunday during term, the students from the College attend Church in the wider Grahamstown community. Here they are actively involved in assisting in the services of worship, and the enthusiasm and commitment they bring to the parishes is greatly appreciated. The students participate in the worship life of the community in the following Parishes:
St Clement’s Anglican Church
St Phillip’s Anglican Church
St Augustine’s Anglican Church
Christ Church Grahamstown
Cathedral of St Michael and St George

Support to a local Kitchen Soup

The College of Transfiguration is proud to associate itself with Diana’s Soup Kitchen which feeds up to hundred kids and adults on a Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock. The goal of the kitchen soup is to feed the needy in the community who are unemployed and living in poverty with nothing to eat. Through the Kitchen Manager, Mrs Genevieve Fisher, the College is actively involved in the kitchen soup and encourages students, members of society and businesses to assist to eradicate hunger in our community.
